In 1967, Qualthough Hindebinder opened Hinderbinder's Service Station and Garage at the corner of Hwy. 78 and Main St. in downtown Loganville. When he wasn't pumping gas or working on customers cars, Qualthough would collect and rebuild old automobiles from the 20's, 30's, and 40’s. Occassionally, he would run across old gas pumps, signs, and other automotive memorabilia from bygone days. In 1980, he purchased an old general store that was located on Main St., just a half a block from his service station. It was there that he started storing his growing collection, leaving one or two of his vehicles in front of the service station to attract customers. Qualthough was always happy to talk about cars and their history with customers and friends and would gladly give tours of his collection to anyone who was interested. In 1998, Qualthough sold the service station and decided to open his collection to the public as Hinderbinders Automotive Antique Shop. With the help of his two sons, Mortimer and Fergus, Hinderbinder's Automotive Antique Shop has become a well known and highly respected place to find rare, high quality automotive memorabilia.
